Neanderthals replaced by archaic Homo sapiens at Spy Cave in Belgium

Summary:
Two ancient skeletons from Spy Cave in Belgium appear to refute the proposition that Neanderthals miraculously acquired a suite of advanced technologies and social attributes soon after they vanished from central Europe. These skeletons are not Neanderthals at all, but archaic H. sapiens, our immediate ancestor, who survived in Africa until the end of the last ice age.
